What is the difference between SSC MTS & SSC GD 2022?

SSC GD has an option of both Hindi and English language, whereas SSC MTS only has English in 1st paper. The eligibility criteria for both are different. SSC GD 2022 is categorised under defence, whereas SSC MTS is categorised under govt jobs. SSC GD and SSC  MTS both have different requirements regarding physical criteria. Both SSC GD and SSC MTS have different pay.

While selecting between SSC GD 2022 and SSC MTS, you have to consider that these have really different criteria and require different preparations. There is not only a physical or eligibility difference but also a salary or pay the difference. These both have multiple stages before finally getting selected for the assigned role. SSC GD or SSC MTS, which should you choose?

If you are more inclined towards the defense category and want to achieve something further, then SSC GD is an option for you. Both exams are equally hard to crack and require days and days or even months of hard work to crack. So, it’s better to have your interests and skills sorted out first and then prepare accordingly for the exams. In the end, it all comes down to your personal preferences and your will to accomplish them. SSC MTS will land you a havildar post, whereas SSC GD is for constable. SSC MTS SSC GD
SSC MTS stands for Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff. SSC MTS is organised nationally to recruit posts like Havaldaar, Peon, Chowkidar etc.

SSC MTS has 3 Diff Stages

  • Paper (online )
  • PET/PST ( only for the post of havaldar )
  • Descriptive test

Passing the 2 stages is compulsory for every candidate of SSC MTS.

SSC MTS is conducted by SSC ( Staff Selection Commission ).

  • Application fee: 100 rs
  • Eligibility criteria: Indian citizenship and 10th pass
  • Mode of exam: online
  • Exam level: national 
  • Vacancy: havildar 
  • Selection : 2 stages
  • Paper-1 (Objective) 
  • Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) 
  • Salary expected :18,000 rs to 22,000 rs per month
  • Age limit as of ( 01/01/2022):18 years to 25 years 
  • PET ( Physical Efficiency Test )
  • For male: Walking 1600 meters in 15 min and 8 km in 30 min in cycling
  • For females: Walking 1km in 20 min and 3km in 25 min in cycling.
  • PST ( Physical Standard Test)
  • For male : height – 157.5 cm
  • For female : height -152 cm
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the SSC GD Constable exam. It is conducted for the general duty post of constables in CRPF.

The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for SSC GD is a 10th pass conducted at the national level. It is for recruitment for the constable post.
